While April Fools Day is usually a good time for a joke new story or press release, we've actually got some real exciting news to share today - the Beta of our iOS app has just been released! The Accelo mobile apps have been in the works for months and with a lot of great feedback and lightning fast development, we’re excited to bring it to iOS 7 users today.
More and more, Accelo has been an essential part of the way thousands of people do business with their clients. This has inspired a completely new mobile experience, designed to help professionals be even more productive on the go. For many of us, client services don’t stop when we’re not at a desk. With the new Accelo iOS app, you can have access to your complete client database, keep up with tasks and be there for your clients 24/7 - from any location.
UPDATE: The Beta is Now Full!
Here’s what you can do in Accelo iOS.
From the new mobile app, you start by viewing your upcoming tasks for the day. From here, you can move through the calendar, hone in on task details and even filter through tasks just like you can in your Accelo account - including viewing tasks assigned to your colleagues.
As you complete work, you can log the time you spend right from the Taskboard. This is a particularly exciting feature for companies that need remote access for their client work, like architecture or on-site IT services.
You can also log time and activity against a contact or company when you are viewing them. After making a call, having a meeting, completing work or emailing a client, you can add notes and time to activities right from the mobile app.
Ensure that each one of your clients knows you’re there for them. Search through the client database to find the contact you need. Swiping a contact to the left allows you to quickly call or email them using your phone's default call and email tools. Again, you can easily log activities and notes for both clients and contacts right from the mobile app.
We know, we know - the Android users in our office outnumber the iPhone users about the same way that Android users the world over outnumber iPhone folks. We honestly didn't set out to go iPhone first - unfortunately, when Apple acquired our beta test rollout platform (called TestFlight) they announced they were discontinuing support for Android. So, we've been left taking a few steps back (very frustratingly), but we hope to be able to get the beta of the Android out in about a month.
This release is just the beginning - we've now got almost half of our engineering team assigned to our mobile platforms (awesome work team!) and we're looking forward to introducing more features and improvements in the future. Some of the things we're thinking about including:
