What first attracted me to Accelo was the platform and all of its capabilities. I had never before experienced such a powerful tool that seemed to do everything!
We were a pretty small team back when I started out. I was just 25 and since then we have grown to be more than 100 people strong. Being a part of all that growth has kept things exciting - It’s not often you get to be one of the drivers of that kind of growth.
What I love most about the Professional Services team is the culture. The culture where every voice and idea is one we consider. Senior or junior, we value what they bring to the table. As a team, we are always looking to develop programs that will make our clients as successful as they can be with Accelo. We are ALWAYS all ears when a suggestion is brought forward!
The founders! When I first started at Accelo and I was in the office, Geoff, our CEO, was my deskmate. Seeing your founders work just as hard as everybody else made me believe in what we are doing so much more. And it isn’t just Geoff - all of our founders are so approachable and jump in a heartbeat when you need something. That’s really inspiring.
Accelo has empowered me to be successful working remotely because almost all of us here live and breathe the Accelo platform ourselves. Our team lead has visibility into our capacity and assigns out projects based on my bandwidth and I am notified right away with all the right documents to start prepping. I know exactly what needs to be done on a daily basis.
We also use the tool to stay on top of challenges and risks on projects and to ensure strategies are discussed and shared promptly so we can take preemptive steps before anything goes sideways. We really have no reason to be in the same physical space unless it’s to have fun! Before the pandemic, I’d fly out twice a year to be with the team and it's always a blast.
I’ve been here almost six years now and I believe there were just two people managing implementation when I first started out and we were all, you know, just doing our best!
Together we’ve built a structured program that has come from our combined experience and knowledge of being in the trenches with our clients. The structure is now more consistent across all clients and continues to improve. I am really proud of our Professional Services team for what we’ve accomplished.
We also have the opportunity of hearing from clients across various industries about what they would like to see improved on the platform and we are in an ideal position to advocate for features and ideas that we know are important to our users and push the needle in product land.
Being a senior member also means I have more experience with how Accelo works and why it works the way it does. For that reason, I truly enjoy sharing all that knowledge in coaching sessions to help flatten the learning curve to this incredibly powerful platform that is Accelo.
The visibility across all client work is what makes me most productive in my role. It is quite rare that I’d need to tap on my colleagues in other teams to get more information.
For example, if I get a new client and wonder what tier or products have they purchased, I get on the related sale for that account and have access to their agreement. Or if my client is working with support, I can easily see conversations they’ve had with my colleagues, which is so important since I am remote and in a different timezone.
Accelo gives me access to what I need when I need it. I am a mom of a toddler and cannot afford to let inefficient productivity get in the way. Eliminating time leaks allows me to focus on my key deliverables within my day and be 100% there for my son when he gets home.
Banu and the Professional Services team are looking for a tech-savvy, confident, empathetic and hardworking individual to join this all-star team. Head to our careers page to read more about our open role in San Francisco!
